Nebraska Places 11 on Big 12 Commissioner's Fall Honor Roll

Lincoln ? The Nebraska women’s gymnastics team placed 11 gymnasts among 324 Husker student-athletes honored as members of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Fall Honor Roll, the conference office announced Wednesday. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes with a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester, and within Nebraska’s 324 selections, 38 earned perfect 4.0 GPAs.

Former Husker Vanessa Meloche led the impressive contingent of women’s gymnasts on the list, as she was included for the sixth time in her career. Freshman Claire Stingley was among the 38 student-athletes who posted a perfect 4.0 GPA. She led a notable freshman class, which saw every gymnast earn spots on the list including Lora Evenstad, Kristin Fyffe, Kassandra Nathe and Kailey Ryan. Senior Tricia Woo and junior Kathryn Howard were repeat selections, both earning their fourth honor roll nods. Additionally, junior Kylie Stone and former Huskers Desire’ Sniatynski and Sabrina Long were also honored.
