Lincoln?Fans of Nebraska women’s gymnastics are reminded that they can get a glimpse of the 2009 team at a free intrasquad meet on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
The Huskers will perform routines on every event in Olympic order, beginning with vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise.
Nebraska returns seven letterwinners, including All-Americans Tricia Woo and Kylie Stone. Nebraska also boasts All-Big 12 selections Brittney Williams and Kathryn Howard, as well as Maria Scaffidi, Erin Davis and Brittnee Habbib. Freshmen Stephanie Seich, Lora Evenstad, Kristin Fyffe, Kassandra Nathe, Claire Stingley and Kailey Ryan will also make their Husker debuts.
The Huskers open their 2009 season on Jan. 10 at Denver. Nebraska’s home opener is Jan. 30 against Penn State at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Nebraska then hosts the 2009 NCAA Championships April 16-18.
