2009 • Freshman Season
Freshman Stephanie Seich provided solid encouragement and reserve competition for the Huskers in 2009. She saw action as an exhibition performer, progressing well over the course of the season on floor.
2008 • Redshirt Season
Seich underwent preseason forearm surgery and did not compete during the 2008 season.
Before Nebraska
A former international elite competitor, Seich competed for Coach Diane Farrell at Rebound Gymnastics in Cliffwood, N.J. Seich qualified as a senior elite to the 2005 U.S. Classic, but was unable to compete due to injury. As a junior international elite in 2004, she finished 13th in the all-around at the U.S. Classic and 18th in the all-around at the U.S. Championships.
Seich placed second in the all-around as a Level 10 competitor at the 2002 Junior Olympic National meet. In 2001, she captured the child national elite title. Seich was a member of the TOPS national team from 1998 to 2000.
Personal
Stephanie Seich was born June 13, 1989 in New Brunswick, N.J., and is the daughter of Danny and Diane Seich. A 2007 graduate of A Beka Academy, Seich has not declared a major at Nebraska.
