The Nebraska cross country team had 16 runners named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll on Thursday, awarding those who attained a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the spring semester.
Twelve women and four men earned the honor, including sophomore Betsy Miller, who claimed a 4.0 grade-point average for the third-consecutive semester. Also reaching perfect GPAswere sophomore Channing Anseth and freshman Ari Goldstein, running the number of 4.0 GPA’s on the cross country team to 14 over the past three semesters.
Equally impressive is that senior Michaela Lenihan completed her career by being named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll every semester during her career at Nebraska. Junior Bryce Dickmeyer has put together a streak of his own by earning the honor for the sixth time in as many semesters to lead the men’s squad.
A total of 249 Nebraska student-athletes were honored by the Big 12 Conference, which requires a 3.0 or better grade-point average during the spring semester. Of the 249, 38 Husker student-athletes attained a perfect 4.0 GPA.
