2009 (Junior)

Ari Goldstein got a late start to her junior year after being slowed by mononucleosis during the 2008 cross country season... ran the 5,000 meters twice during the indoor season, recording a season-best time of 17:34.88 at the Tyson Invitational... opened the outdoor season on a high note at the Stanford Invitational, as she shattered her previous best of 38:03.37 in the 10,000 meters with a time of 36:21.53 at her only meet of the season... missed the rest of the season with a torn peritoneal tendon in her foot.

 

2008 (Sophomore)

Goldstein entered the track and field season after another successful cross country campaign that saw her earn her second straight All-Big 12 honor... marked the first time any Nebraska cross country athlete had earned two All-Big 12 honors... set a personal best in the mile at the adidas Classic with a time of 4:58.63... set personal bests in the 3,000 meters (9:57.07) and 5,000 meters (17:12.28) at the Big 12 Indoor Championships... set three more personal bests during the outdoor season... finished third at the Mt. SAC Relays in the 3,000 meters with a personal-best time of 17:09.61... notched a personal best in the 1,500-meters two days later at the Long Beach Invitational (4:39.43)... finished 13th at the Big 12 Outdoor Championship in the 10,000 meters with a then-personal best of 38:03.37A and ninth in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:59.84A.

 

2007 (Redshirt Freshman/Sophomore)

Goldstein competed in the mile, 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters, improving her time in all three events in every race on the season... finished the year with a season best of 5:11.05 in the mile for fifth place at the Prairie Wolf Invite... added a season best of 10:03.52 in the 3,000 meters at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... at the Big 12 Championships, ran 10:03.42 in the 3,000 meters on the 300-meter oversized oval in Ames, Iowa...  earned her only title of the season with a first-place finish in the 5,000 meters (17:31.22) at the Conference Challenge... went on to better that time by more than 26 seconds for a personal best of 17:04.49 (oversized track) at the Iowa State Classic for ninth place... redshirted during the outdoor season.

 

2006 (Freshman)

Goldstein was granted a medical hardship for indoors after suffering from anemia... set then-personal-best marks each competition during the outdoor season... finished 12th in the 10,000 meters at her first Big 12 Outdoor Championships in a season-best 38:33.56... earned runner-up honors in the 5,000 at the Nebraska Invitational (17:57.6)... placed fourth in the 1,500 at the Ward Haylett Invite (4:45.38) and the 3,000 at the Kansas Relays (10:07.61)... competed only once indoors, running the 1,200-meter leg of NU’s distance medley relay at the Holiday Inn Invitational.

 

Before Nebraska (Soldotna HS)

Goldstein posted an accomplished high school career at Soldotna High School in Soldotna, Alaska... was a six-time state champion and 12-time scorer during her career at the Alaska Class 4A state meet... captured the 1,600-meter (5:04.12) and 3,200-meter (10:59.49) titles as a senior in 2005... won four gold medals in 2004 by sweeping the 800-, 1,600- and 3,200-meter events, while also running the second leg of the winning 4x400-meter relay... named the 2004 Gatorade Alaska Track and Field Athlete of the Year following her junior season... set personal bests in the mile (5:01.60) and two mile (10:59.53) at the 2004 adidas Outdoor Classic in Raleigh, N.C.... claimed Class 4A cross country titles as a junior and senior... member of the National Honor Society... coached by former Husker assistant Mark Devenney.
