NU Places Fourteen on Big 12 Honor Roll

The Nebraska men’s and women’s cross country teams placed 14 student-athletes on the Fall 2003 Big 12 Commissioners Honor Roll. Seven men and seven women were honored for having a grade-point average of 3.0 or better for the fall semester.

On the men’s honor roll were senior Dana Carne (fifth selection), juniors Paul Wilson (fifth selection) and Tim Williams (fifth selection), sophomore Eric Dall (second selection) and freshman Bryce Dickmeyer (first selection). Seniors Kyle Doperalski (second selection) and Eric Rasmussen (fifth selection) were also honored. Both redshirted last season.

Seniors Ann Gaffigan (fifth selection) and Kathryn Handrup (sixth selection), junior Kayte Tranel (second selection), sophomore Michaela Lenihan (second selection), redshirt freshmen Kim Pancoast (second selection) and Lindsey Finkner (first selection) and freshman Farah Jadran (first selection) made the women’s honor roll.

The women’s team has been awarded the Herman Award, which honors a Nebraska men’s and women’s team that compiles the highest GPA, seven times in the nine-year history of the award.
