The Nebraska men's golf team finished round one of the Big 12 Championships Monday in 11th place. The team total after 36 holes is 649.
The current team leading the tournament is Baylor with a first-day total of 606. Baylor's Worth Williams shot a two-round score of 144 to take a five-stroke lead in the tournament after the first day.
Sophomores Jim Troy and Blake Humbles are in the lead for the Huskers and are presently tied for 34th place with a score of 161. In a tie for 41st place is junior Seth Porter, with a total of 163 after 36 holes. After shooting a 164 for the day, sophomore Rob Arthur is tied for 47th place. Sophomore Mike Vanier is currently in 60th place with a score of 175.
The tournament will conclude Tuesday with a final round of 18 holes to be played at the Prairie Dunes Country Club.
