Track & Field Meet Day Information

Code of Conduct
Nebraska Track & Field along with the Big Ten Conference and NCAA are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable sports and entertainment experience by promoting good sportsmanship through its athletes, coaches and spectators.
We encourage the spectators to support your team in a positive manner while at the same time showing respect to the participants, team personnel, officials and other spectators in attendance.
  • Fans can enjoy the track and field experience free from fighting, throwing objects, attempts to enter the track surface, political or inciting messages and disorderly behavior, including foul, sexist, racial, obscene or abusive language or gestures.
  • Fans shall comply with requests from event staff regarding stadium policies and emergency response procedures.
  • Fans shall conduct themselves in a lawful manner to avoid incidents in the arena and in the parking lots.
Concessions
Concession stands are located near the main grandstand entrance.
Ejection Policy
Fans that refuse to follow the direction of the Event Staff or designated security officials, or fail to comply with the Fan Code of Conduct may be subject to ejection without refund, revocation of season tickets and may be in violation of city ordinances, resulting in possible arrest and prosecution.
Emergency and Evacuation Procedures
Please report an emergency to the nearest event staff representative. In the event of an evacuation, please listen to the direction of the Public Address Announcer and/or event staff.
First Aid
The Red Cross provides emergency medical services at the first aid station located on the southwest corner of the concourse.
Gates
Doors open 60 minutes prior to the start of the meet.
Husker Merchandise
Husker Shop/Fanatics is located near the northeast corner of the concourse level of the Devaney Sports Center.
Photography
Limited use of cameras and portable radios are permitted. Flash photography is prohibited. Game action may not be filmed and consideration of other spectators is expected.
Prohibited Items
Outside alcoholic beverages, controlled substances, bags not conforming to the clear bag policy (see bags & bag search), coolers, chair backs, noise makers, glass bottles, cans, video cameras, banners/flags on poles, use of selfie sticks and open umbrellas. Consideration of other spectators is expected. With the passage of the concealed weapons law in the state of Nebraska, Fans are reminded that concealed weapons are not allowed on UNL Campus and are prohibited at all collegiate sporting events. Off-duty law enforcement officers and/or retired law enforcement officers in good standing and properly credentialed are permitted to carry after being inspected and approved by UNLPD. At the discretion of game management, other items are subject to being prohibited.

Re-Entry Policy
The Nebraska Outdoor Track and Field Complex allows for Re-Entry during regular season, non-ticketed events.
Restrooms
Public restrooms are located in the south building. Portable restrooms are also available on the west side of the track.
Smoking/Tobacco Use
As of January 1, 2018, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a smoke-free, tobacco-free and vapor free campus. Please visit www.unl.edu/tobacco-free-2018 for more information.
Tailgating
The University of Nebraska promotes responsible tailgating. Please be considerate of those around you. Intoxication can lead to denied entry into the Devaney Sports Center.
Text Messaging
In case of Emergencies or to report a disturbance in you area, send a SMS text message to 69050. Begin the message with UNLPD, then type in the issue and location. Standard SMS text message rates apply. This is a two-way system that will allow the UNL police to respond back as needed.
Bringing alcoholic beverages into the Nebraska Outdoor Track Complex is prohibited. Intoxicated guests will not be admitted at any time and are subject to ejection from the Nebraska Outdoor Track Complex. Guests may not exit the facility with alcoholic beverages. Nebraska and Federal Law prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of twenty-one (21). Therefore, guests are required to show proper identification and proof of age when purchasing alcoholic beverages at the Nebraska Outdoor Track Complex The number of alcoholic beverages served may be limited to two drinks per person, per purchase. Management reserves the right to refuse service to guests who appear intoxicated or who are disturbing other guests. Alcohol sales will conclude approximately 30 minutes prior to that last event. We encourage guests to drink responsibly and not to drive after drinking.
ADA
If you need any assistance during the match, please ask any event staff member.
  • Accessible Seating Areas – ADA Accessible Seating is located along the 100, 200, and 300 level bleachers. Please contact an event staff member for assistance.
  • Parking - ADA public parking stalls are located on the east side of the Outdoor Track and Field Facility. This parking is free of charge.
  • Service Animals - Service animals are permitted but must be harnessed, leashed or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the individual's disability prevents using these devices. Assistance Animals (also called Emotional Support or Therapy Animals) are not considered service animals under the ADA. These animals are prohibited from entering all UNL Athletic Facilities.
Assistive Listening System Equipment
Equipment is available inside the Guest Relations Office located in the Hendricks Training Complex Lobby. A valid ID is required for deposit.
 
ADA public parking stalls are located on the east side of the Devaney Sports Center on N. 17th St. and in Lot 60 on the east side of the Nebraska Outdoor Track and Field Complex. ADA stalls are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. University of Nebraska Faculty/Staff Lot A permit holders will be directed to public parking areas. A parking map can be found here.

Bags & Bag Search
The clear bag policy is only in effect for ticketed events. All bags will be searched in accordance with the Nebraska Athletics prohibited items policy.

On game day, found items can be located inside the Guest Relations Office in the Hendricks Training Lobby. Items can be claimed during the weekdays by filling out the form here.

Directions:
Lot 50, 53, 54, 57, 58: Enter Nebraska Innovation Campus via Gate 2, which is at the intersection of Salt Creek Roadway and N. 21st Street.

Lot 56: Access from N. Antelope Valley Parkway.

Lot 52, 54, 60: Enter Nebraska Innovation Campus via Gate 1, which is at the intersection of Military Ave. and North Antelope Valley Parkway.

Lot 59: Access from Military Avenue.

Public Parking Info: Public parking is available in campus lots surrounding Devaney. Public parking areas can be accessed via Gate 4 along Salt Creek Roadway. Southbound traffic on North Antelope Valley Parkway may turn right into a gravel lot just south of the Transportation Services building for another public parking option
 
14th Street Bridge Closure: Traffic using either I-180 or Highway 6 will need to take N11th Street to Military Avenue due to the 14th Street Bridge project.

Public Parking is available by turning north onto N. 21st Street (Entrance Gate 2) off Salt Creek Roadway or by entering Entrance Gate 4 off of Salt Creek Roadway on the east side of Nebraska Innovation Campus.
