Eymann, who will graduate with a degree in business administration this spring, appeared in 97 games over the past two seasons, as the Huskers made back-to-back trips to the College World Series in 2001 and 2002.
A career .270 hitter, Eymann started 39 games, setting career highs in both homers (four) and RBIs (33) while ranking among the team leaders with 26 walks. A team co-captain, Eymann started at both third and first base as a senior and was the Huskers' starter at first base in the CWS after Matt Hopper?s season-ending injury.
In his first season at Nebraska, Eymann batted .307 with three homers and 31 RBIs in 45 games, helping the Huskers to 50 wins and the school's first regular-season conference title since 1950. He started 29 games and led Nebraska with nine sacrifice bunts.
Eymann began his collegiate career at Lassen College in California, spending two seasons at the school, while earning first-team junior college All-America honors in 2000, when he batted .359 with four homers and 40 RBIs at shortstop.
Eymann starred at Papillion-LaVista High School, helping the Monarchs to Class A state titles in 1997 and 1998. A two-time All-Nebraska selection, Eymann was tabbed the state?s player of the year in 1998, batting .520 with 29 RBIs, 37 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.
