2015-16 (Senior)
Regular Season
Tyrell Galloway competed in three open tournaments and went 6-4. He finished fourth at the Viking-Warrior Open at 149 pounds with one major decision. Galloway also competed at the Daktronics Open and Harold Nichols Cyclone Open.

2014-15 (Junior)
Regular Season
Galloway went 6-3 in two open tournament appearances in 2014-15. He finished sixth at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open and also competed at the Nebraska-Kearney Holiday Inn Open.

2013-14 (Redshirt)
Regular Season
Galloway captured the Viking-Warrior Open crown while wrestling at 141 pounds during his first season at Nebraska. He also competed at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open and Nebraska-Kearney Holiday Inn Open, and recorded a 6-4 mark. Galloway earned four pins and one major decision during the 2013-14 campaign.

Before Nebraska
Galloway was a transfer who spent two years at Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo., prior to joining the Huskers. Galloway qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships with the Saints. In high school, Galloway wrestled at Omaha Central and compiled a 120-10 career record. He won the state title at 119 pounds in 2008 with Omaha Gross Catholic before accomplishing the same feat with Omaha Central in 2009. In 2010, Galloway finished second at 130 pounds and took sixth in 2011. He is a four-time district champion and three-time academic all-state team member.

Personal
Tyrell is the son of Johnny and Shinobu Galloway and has four brothers, Kentral, Johnny, Skylar and Dax. Skylar wrestled at Nebraska from 2010 to 2013. Tyrell was born on Jan. 14, 1993, and is majoring in mathematics. He was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2014 and 2015. Tyrell also earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll during the spring semester of 2016.
