Craig Brester is a volunteer assistant for the NU wrestling program after serving as an administrative assistant for two years.
A native of Howells, Neb., Brester finished his career in 2010 with his second-straight NCAA runner-up finish at 197 pounds. Through four years at Nebraska, he produced a 109-21 record that ranks as the ninth-best winning percentage (.838). He was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the 2009 Big 12 Championships following his individual title that lifted the Huskers to a share of the team championship.
Brester graduated with a mechanized systems management degree in May 2010 and was named Nebraska’s Male Student-Athlete of the Year for excellent achievements on the mat, in the classroom and in the community.
