NCAA Championships
2008-In his first career appearance at the NCAA Championships, Jordan went 1-1 before defaulting out with a minor concussion. Jordan opened with an 11-5 decision over Lehigh's Seth Ciasulli, but lost a 9-5 decision to No. 5 Joe Slaton of Iowa.
Big 12 Championships
2008-Jordan finished fourth in his first career appearance at the Big 12 Championships, but earned a wild card big to the national tournament. Jordan opened with a 4-1 loss to Iowa State's Nick Fanthorpe, but rebounded with an 8-0 major decision over Oklahoma's Brian Shelton to advance to the third-place match. Jordan lost a 3-0 decision to top-seeded Coleman Scott of Oklahoma State to place fourth.
Career Notes
2008-Jordan wrestled to a 15-9 record at 133 pounds for the Huskers in 2007-08. He earned three pins, one technical fall and two major decisions. Jordan made his talent known early in the season, as he rolled off six straight victories, including three bonus-point wins, to earn first place at the Las Vegas Invitational on Dec. 1. His performance earned him Big 12 Wrestler-of-the-Month honors for November.
Jordan ran into some tough competition over the course of the season, as his six losses in the regular season all came against opponent ranked in the top six in his weight class and all were by decision. Jordan finished the regular season 2-2 in Big 12 action.
2007-Jordan was a national champion at 133 pounds competing at Lincoln Community College in Lincoln, Ill. The NJCAA Championships was one of four tournaments Jordan won last season.
2006-Jordan redshirted his first year at NU, but did compete well in several open tournaments. He captured titles in both the Kaufman-Brand Open and the UNI Open. He amassed an 11-0 record to start his Husker career.
Before Nebraska-Jordan wrestled to an impressive 174-7 career record at Mt. Carmel High School under Coach Ben Gerdes. Jordan set the school record for career wins at Mt. Carmel and was twice named a high school All-American. Jordan was a two-time Illinois state champion and was named the most valuable wrestler after both his junior and senior seasons.
Personal-The son of Daniel and Debbie Jordan, Kenny was born Feb. 1, 1987, in Munster, Ind. He has three sisters, Heather (30), Deanna (22) and Shannon (12), and two brothers, Dan (27) and Matt (19). Jordan is an economics major.
