2011-12 Outlook
Ryne Harris has the ability to compete for time in the lineup with other talented 125 pounders on the roster. Harris used the offseason to improve after an impressive redshirt season where he won 11 matches, four of them coming by way of major decision.

2010-11 (Redshirt)
Regular Season
After a 1-2 start at the Viking-Warrior open at 133 pounds, Harris made the switch to the 125 weight division and collected three top four finishes at his next three open tournaments. Harris won four matches at the Quality Hotel Open to propel him to third place with his only loss coming to fellow Husker David Klingsheim. After a fourth-place showing at the Brand Open, Harris finished his season in second-place at the Grand View Open. Harris went 11-6 on the season with two pins and four major decisions.

Before Nebraska
Ryne Harris finished third at the 2009 Illinois Class 2A state tournament to earn first-team all-state honors. A four-time state qualifier, Harris produced a 152-24 career record at Althoff Catholic High School. He earned all-conference honors from the South Seven Conference three times.

Harris earned letters in wrestling and football along with being a member of the National Honor Society. Harris was also on his high school's Honor Roll.

Personal
Ryne is the son of David and Peggy Harris. Ryne was born on Nov. 8, 1991 in Belleville, Ill. He has two younger brothers, Michael and Cody. Ryne is majoring in accounting.
