Career Notes
1983 - In his senior season at Nebraska, Oliver became an All-American after placing fourth at the NCAA Championships at 167-pounds. The senior finished the season with a 34-7-1 overall record and was 19-2 in dual action. He was a runner-up at the Big Eight Championships,  placed first at the Lehigh Invitation and Bison Open and third at the Midlands Invitational. He ended his Nebraska career compiling a 84-20-3 record. 

1982- Oliver made it to the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive year, ending his season with a 23-6-2 record. At the Big Eight Championships, Oliver lost in the semifinals to Mike Sheets of Oklahoma State. He also added a third-place finish at the Midlands Invitational and a fifth-place finish at the Great Plains Invitational. 

1981 - During his sophomore season, he compiled a 19-11 record including a fourth-place finish at the Big Eight Championships that qualified him for the NCAA tournament. He also secured a first-place finish at the Bison Open and Kearney State Invitational while adding a runner-up finish at the Wilkes Open. 

Other - While attending Omaha Tech High School, Ray had a career record 86-10-1. He won the Class A 145-pound class and third at the state meet during his career.
