Career Notes
2007-Wrestling at 149 pounds, Peter Barger finished with a 2-8 record in open tournaments as he redshirted his first season in the Nebrask program. Barger's quickest pin was in 44 seconds.
Before Nebraska-Barger qualified for three state tournaments at Wauneta-Palisade High School. He finished sixth in Class D at 145 pounds, and also qualified at 152 pounds as a senior in 2006 and at 145 pounds as a sophomore in 2004. Barger also ran track at Wauneta-Palisade.
Personal-The son of Joseph and Katryn Barger, Peter was born Jan. 14, 1988, in Wauneta, Neb. Peter has four sisters, Laura, Abby, Courtney and Thersea. Peter was majoring in mechanical engineering at Nebraska.
