Career Notes
2007-As a redshirt wrestling in open tournaments, Jeff Slaughter earned a 9-8 record at 141 pounds in 2006-07. Slaughter racked up six pins with his fastest coming in just 20 seconds. He was a member of an NU squad that finished 16th as a team at the NCAA Championships.
Before Nebraska-Slaughter wrestled his senior season for Stillwater High School, finishing as the Oklahoma state runner-up at 145 pounds in his only season in Stillwater. At Archbishop Rummel High School in New Orleans, Slaughter earned the 2005 state championship at 140 pounds and took third at state as a sophomore in 2004 at 130.
Personal-The son of Bonnie and Chris Slaughter, Jeff was born on Dec. 21, 1987 in Metairie, La. He has one sister, Sarah, 16. Jeff did not declared a major.
