Regular Season
Jake Anderson competed in five open tournaments and produced a 4-9 mark with three pins. He saw action at both 184 and 197 pounds.
Before Nebraska
Anderson captured the 2013 Class A state title at 182 pounds while wrestling at Omaha Creighton Prep. He went 35-3 for the season and won three of his four state tournament matches by fall. Anderson placed at state on two other occasions and made the tournament all four years of high school. As a senior in 2014, he compiled a 39-3 record en route to a fourth-place finish at 170 pounds. Anderson finished third at 170 pounds in 2012 after a 32-8 season, and wrestled at 160 pounds for the Junior Jays in 2011. In addition to his success on the mat for Creighton Prep, Anderson was a Preseason Nationals All-American. He also wrestled for MWC/Team Nebraska under Coach Zac Dominguez.
Personal
Jake is the son of Paul and Darla Anderson, and was born on March 23, 1996. He has one brother, Josh. Jake is majoring in marketing.
