Before Nebraska - A four-year letterwinner for head coach Tom Carbajo at Spring Hill High School, Donnie compiled a career record of 110-10, while also lettering three times in football and baseball.

Personal -- The son of Don and Cherie Abell and Tammy Abell, Donnie was born on April 1, 1984. Donnie has four sisters, Missy, Mindy, Amanda and Tisha. He is a construction management major.
