Colby Legate Season 2009-10

2009-10 Outlook
Colby Legate is one of four newcomers from the state of Nebraska. Legate won a state championship his senior season at 171 pounds. He will wrestle at 165 pounds for Nebraska.

Before Nebraska
Legate won the 2009 Nebraska Class D state championship at 171 pounds after finishing fourth as a sophomore and third as a junior. He finished his high school career as Neligh-Oakdale's school record holder for wins with a 146-21 record and helped the Warriors to a third-place team finish in 2007. As a senior, Legate earned first-team all-state honors.

Aside from lettering four years in wrestling, Legate also earned three letters in basketball and two in track and field.

Personal
Colby is the son of Roger and Rosemary Legate, and was born on July, 9, 1990 in Neligh, Neb. He has one sister, Sonya (15), and one brother, Tyler (20), a fullback on the Nebraska football team. Colby is majoring in business administration.
