Career Notes
2009-Litch posted an 0-3 record at 141 pounds during the 2008-09 season. He went 0-2 at the Harold Nichols Open on Nov. 15 and lost an 11-4 decision against Chattanooga's Dan Waddell in his one dual appearance.

2008-Litch earned a 7-7 mark in three open tournaments during his redshirt season at 133. Litch opened with a 1-2 effort at the Dana Open on Jan. 5, but notched his best performance of the season a week later at the Hastings Open, where he placed fifth with a 2-2 mark.

Litch ended the season with a sixth-place finish behind a 4-3 performance at the Brand Open on Jan. 19. He collected his two major decisions of the year with a 14-1 win over Wyoming’s Tim Baumel and a 13-4 victory over Air Force’s Tyler Untrauer.

Before Nebraska-Litch’s high school achievements included a third-place state finish his senior year at Wayzata High School and qualifying for the state tournament twice. He helped his team to a fifth-place team finish. Litch was one of two products of Wayzata, Minn., to join the Huskers in 2007-08. Litch competed for Coach Ross Johnson during his prep career.

Personal
The son of Mike and Karla Litch, Brian was born on July 25, 1989. He has one sister, Kalena. Brian has not declared a major at Nebraska.
