Career Notes
2007-Bobby Laraway finished with a 7-6 record at 174 pounds in open tournaments as he redshirted his first season in the Husker program. Laraway was a member of an NU squad that finished 16th as a team at the NCAA Championships.
Before Nebraska-Laraway capped an outstanding high school career with a 44-4 record, after earning a career mark of 162-33 at St. Benedict’s Prep in New Jersey. Laraway was also accomplished on the national stage, winning the national prep championship at 171 pounds. For his efforts, Laraway was the 12th-ranked 171-pound high school wrestler in the nation according to Intermat.
Personal-The son of Barry and Sherri Laraway, Bobby was born May 17, 1988, in Livingston, N.J. He has one brother, Vinnie (16), and two sisters, Nikkie (13) and Alexi (12). Bobby did not declare a major at Nebraska.
