1997-98: Senior
Lisa Hart finished her Husker career with another phenomenal season. Hart showed that she was on another level compared to her opponents on the singles court, going 18-4 at No. 2 singles in the spring. Her dominating performance in singles play was recognized by the rest of the conference, as well, earning her a spot on the All-Big 12 Singles team.
On the doubles court, Hart teamed up with four different teammates during the spring, producing winning records with three of them. She ended up with a 14-8 spring record, with all 22 matches being played at No. 2 doubles. Paired with Ndali Ijomah, her primary partner, Hart produced a record of 9-5.
1996-97: Junior
As a junior, Lisa Hart found a home at No. 2 singles during the 1996-97 season. She posted a 21-10 mark during the season, including a 15-8 record during the spring. The 21 wins were second only to Sandra Noetzel's 28. Hart, who went 6-2 during the fall, advanced to the fourth round of qualifying at the National Clay Court Championships. In the spring season, Hart went 9-4 in Big 12 matches, including a victory over Texas A&M's Vanessa Rooks at the Big 12 Championshps. Rooks was the Big 12 champion at No. 2 singles and had beaten Hart during the regular season. She closed the season on a strong note, winning her last seven matches, including a trio of three-set victories. Hart, who won the Cissie Learie Regional Sportsmanship for the Central Region, was an academic All-Big 12 honoree last spring.
1995-96: Sophomore
Playing each of the top three singles positions, Hart fashioned a 10-10 record during the spring season. Her 10 wins tied Jennifer Thoste for the team best. Hart enjoyed success at No. 3 singles, compiliing a 4-2 mark. She teamed with Thoste to finish 5-9 at No. 1 doubles.
1994-95: Freshman
As a freshman, Hart stepped in and was one of NU's top singles players with a 23-12 mark. During the fall, she posted a 7-6 record before stepping in at No. 3 singles and going 16-6. In conference matches, she went 7-2 during the spring. Hart earned Big Eight Freshman of the Year honors and was named Conference Newcomer of the Year by the Big Eight coaches. She also was a first-team Phillips 66 Academic All-Big Eight honoree.
Before Nebraska
Hart enjoyed a tremendous high school career at Sunnyside High School. A four-year letterwinner, she was a three-time Class AA Washington state champion at No. 1 singles for Head Coach Ralph Rodriguez. The only season she did not win the state title, she finished second. Hart was also a Prince High School All-American in 1992.
Personal
The daughter of Patti and Paul Hart, Lisa was born in Othello, Wash. She is an elementary education major and has one older brother, Brian.
