2024-25: Sophomore
In her first season with the Huskers, Emma Rizzetto tallied a 12-14 singles record and went 16-10 on the doubles court. The sophomore took on five ranked opponents in singles play, and claimed seven straight-set wins. Competing mostly at No. 2 doubles, partnered with Reya Lee Coe and Tiziana Rossini, Rizzetto notched an impressive 13-6 spring doubles resume. Against Big Ten foes, Coe and Rizzetto posted victories over #18 Wisconsin, #72 Minnesota, Rutgers, #18 Washington and Oregon.

Off the court, Rizzetto was named to her first Tom Osborne Citizenship team and a 2025 CSC Academic All-American.

Joining the Huskers
Emma Rizzetto joins the Huskers with three remaining years of eligibility after spending her freshman year as a Ram. In her first collegiate season, she was named A-10 Performer of the Week on two occasions and tallied 14 wins in singles and doubles.

“We are super excited to add Emma to our Husker Family,” Head Coach German Dalmagro said. “She had a great freshman year and I look forward to continuing her success here at Nebraska. She works very hard and loves to compete, and she’s passionate about tennis. That is something we strive to do each day with our team. She will fit in very well and I look forward to working with her.”

The Rams were frequently ranked in the 2023-24 season, reaching a season-high of 44. Rizzetto played singles on courts four, five and six, to earn a 14-6 singles record. She also played No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, tallying a 14-5 record. One of her doubles partners, Tiziana Rossini, is another recent Husker addition.

“I chose Nebraska because it has a strong tennis program, a healthy and an exciting environment,” Rizzetto said. “I think it’s the best place for my growth, not only as a tennis player but also as a person.”

Personal
Born in Alessandria, Italy, Rizzetto is the daughter of Marco Rizzetto and Barbara Tedesco, and was born on Sept. 29, 2004. Emma, who also goes by Emmi, has one sister, Greta (17). Rizzetto plans to study business at Nebraska.
