Anna Oehme Season 2003-04

2003-04: Senior
In her third and final season with Nebraska, Anna Oehme (pronounced OME) provided stellar play all season long. In the fall, she went 4-1 in singles competition, winning her flight at the Lloyd Stokstad Invitational. Oehme played doubles with sophomore Milena Schulz-Gartner, and the pair produced a 2-0 record with two victories at the Lloyd Stokstad Invitational.

In the spring, Oehme excelled on the doubles court, finishing with an outstanding 16-7 record. She was at her best against conference foes, posting a 9-4 record in Big 12 matches. Oehme showed that she could play well no matter the position she was competing at, notching an 11-5 record at the No. 3 spot and a 5-2 record at No. 2. Combined with her two wins in the fall, her 18 doubles wins with Schulz-Gartner, her primary partner, ranked the duo fourth on the school's single season team doubles wins list.

In singles play, Oehme was a mainstay in Nebraska's lineup. She finished with a spring record of 11-13 playing in the Nos. 3 through 6 spots. She played her best toward the top of the lineup, going undefeated with five wins in the No. 3 postion.

2002-03: Junior
Oehme posted the Huskers' top singles record last season, as she went 15-6 in the spring playing Nos. 3-6 singles. Oehme was undefeated at the No. 5 (6-0) and No. 6 spots (1-0). She produced a 4-5 Big 12 record.

Oehme had the longest singles winning streak of any Huskers in 2003, as she tallied eight straight wins from March 1 to April 5.

In doubles play, Oehme accumulated the most wins on the team with an 11-12 record. She played primarily with classmate Rose Ketmayura, and the pair totaled an 8-7 mark at No. 2 doubles.

During the fall,Oehme went 2-2 in singles action and 4-1 in doubles teaming with Rose Ketmayura to win the "A" Flight Doubles at the Lloyd Stokstad Invitational.

2001-02: Sophomore
Oehme made a big impact on the 2002 Nebraska team. She finished her first season as a Husker with a 10-6 record and recorded a team and season-best six-match win streak from March 10- March 31. She played most of the season at the No. 6 singles spot.

In doubles she finished with a 13-8 record, primarily playing in the No. 3 spot, splitting time playing with Stacey Tomkiewicz and Rose Ketmayura.

In fall play, Oehme reached the round of 16 in the Bronco Invitational before falling to Lesia Brooks of Ball State. Oehme won one doubles match and dropped two.

Before Nebraska
Oehme began her collegiate career at Boise State, playing for Coach Mark Tichenor. As a freshman, she compiled a 19-16 mark at the No. 3 singles spot. In doubles action, Oehme recorded a 20-9 record.

Personal 
Anna is the daughter of Inger and Per Oehme. She was born July 2, 1981, in Nykoping, Sweden. Anna is a sociology major and has two brothers, Johan and Martin. She graduated from Tessinkolan in Nykoping, Sweden.
