Amy Frisch Season 2001-02

2001-02: Senior
Senior Amy Frisch finished her collegiate career off with another great season. In singles, Frisch saw action in the top four positions in the lineup, compiling a .500 spring record of 11-11. She played her best at No. 3 singles, finishing with a 6-2 record in that spot.

On the doubles court, Frisch was able to hold her own against the competition, putting together a 9-10 record during the spring.

Frisch left Nebraska with her name near the top of multiple career lists. She graduated third in both career singles wins (81) and career combined wins (126), while her 45 career doubles wins ranked her fourth all-time. Frisch's .704 career singles winning percentage (81-34) was good for fifth in school history. 

Frisch was not only a competitor on the court but in the classroom, as well. Frisch was an excellent student, earning academic All-Big 12 honors on the season.

2000-01: Junior
Frisch started her junior season by winning the Fall Wichita State Shocker Classic. Frisch defeated Oklahoma City University's Anne Laure Leguennec in the championship match. Frisch posted a 6-2 singles record in the fall. In doubles action, Frisch posted a 2-2 record.

After a strong fall season, Frisch used that momentum to record her second 20-win season for the Huskers. Frisch recorded one of the best singles seasons in school history by finishing with a 27-7 mark, ranking her third on season singles wins list. Her singles winning percentage of .814 was the highest ever recorded by a Husker in school history.

In doubles action, Frisch split time teaming up with Katarina Balan and Ndali Ijomah. Overall, she finishing the 2000-01 season with a 19-9 mark in doubles play. Frisch's 46 combined wins was the fifth-highest total ever posted by a Husker in a single season.

1999-2000: Sophomore
During the 1999-2000 season, Frisch became the first Husker since Lisa Hart in 1998 to win a conference singles championship. Frisch compiled a 19-7 record, including a 16-3 record at No. 6 singles to win the Big 12 championship.

1998-99: Freshman
In her first season at Nebraska, Frisch finished with an 18-5 singles record, most of those wins coming at No. 6 singles. In doubles action, Frisch joined teammate Gina Pelazini and compiled an 11-8 record. Frisch and Pelazini were 10-8 at No. 2 doubles and also picked up a win at No. 3 doubles. 

Before Nebraska
Frisch, a three-year all-state selection at Notre Dame Academy in Crescent, Ky., led her team to a state championship and was awarded player of the year honors in the state of Kentucky.

Personal
A biology major, Frisch has four younger sisters, Jill, Callie, Holly and Sarah. The daughter of Jeff and Julie Frisch and Louise and Greg Claypole, Amy was born on April 22, 1980.
