2001-02 (Junior)
Jones was a solid threat for the Huskers throughout the 2001-02 season, averaging 7.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.  She started in 14 games, averaging 16.5 minutes per game.

In Big 12 play, Jones ranked second on the team in scoring with 9.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Against No. 10 Baylor, Jones erupted for a career-high 16 points and 6 rebounds.  She matched her career high again against Oklahoma State, recording a double-double by grabbing 13 boards.

2000-01 (Sophomore)
Jones ranked fourth among the Huskers in scoring with 6.4 points per game and third with 4.5 rebounds per game.  Jones connected on 42.1 percent of her shots from the field and 23.1 percent of her three-point shots.  She also hit 69.8 percent of her free throws.

Jones scored in double figures in five of the Huskers' last seven games of the season to finish with six double figure scoring efforts for the season.  

1999-2000 (Freshman)
Jones averaged 5.6 points and 4.0 rebounds through Nebraska's first seven games of 1999-2000, before tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee against Creighton on Dec. 12.

Jones produced her first double-double in the season opener against Georgia Southern with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Jones connected on 47.1 percent of her shots from the field and 53.8 percent of her free throws.  She also added five assists and six steals.

High School
Jones was a Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), Street & Smith's and Parade Magazine High School All-American and became the first Nebraska high school player to ever be invited to the Nike All-American camp.

Jones played in the Nike/WBCA All-Star Classic, where she scored 14 points.  She was the USA Today Nebraska player of the year and was tabbed one of the top 20 recruits in the nation.

She captured state player-of-the-year honors and was captain of the Super-State teams from both the Omaha World-Herald and Lincoln Journal Star as a center for Omaha Benson.

As a senior center for Caoch Pat Holston, Jone averaged 19.7 points and 11.9 rebounds to lead Benson.  She hit 61 percent of her field goals and 84.1 percent of her free throws, while becoming the first Benson player to score 1,000 points.  She also set the school rebounding record.  As a junior, Jones led Benson to a 12-8 record in 1997-98, averaging 16.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.

Jones helped the Pinnacle Bank - Daubert Nebraska All-Stars to a fifth-place finish in the Washington Senior National Tournament in 1998. 

Personal
The daughter of Butch and Terri Jones, Stephanie earned her bachelor's degree in business administration.
