Shawn Collains was one of two transfers from Westark (Ark.) Junior College. She saw action in 30 of NU's 32 games, breaking into the starting lineup three times. Collains hit 44.9 percent of her shot from the field, averaging 1.9 points per game. She also grabbed 73 rebounds (2.4 per game) and 14 blocked shots - the third-best average on the team.

Collains is the daughter of Cleo and Maggie Collains. At Lindblom High School, she averaged 24 points per game and earned three all-section honors.
