Senior (2014-15)
Tear’a Laudermill (pronounced TAIR-uh LAWD-er-mill) continued to grow her game in her second season as a starter for Nebraska in 2014-15.

Laudermill, who appeared in 126 games with 62 starts in her four-year Nebraska career, was a key component to helping the Huskers to four consecutive NCAA Tournament bids. Not only did the 2015 senior class of Laudermill, Emily Cady, Brandi Jeffery and Hailie Sample become the first Huskers to compete in four NCAA tournaments, they also became the first group of Huskers to post four straight 20-win campaigns. They finished their careers with a school-record 96 wins.

As a senior, Laudermill earned honorable-mention All-Big Ten accolades by averaging career bests of 13.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game. She matched Jeffery for the team lead with 45 steals on the season, while leading the Huskers with 58 three-pointers. Laudermill is No. 6 in NU history with 157 career threes.

Laudermill is ranked 20th at Nebraska in career scoring with 1,133 points, including a team-high 436 as a senior.

Laudermill erupted for a season-high 25 points while tying her own school record with seven threes at Alabama Dec. 7. She added six rebounds, three assists and two steals against the Tide. She scored 24 points, including four threes, while adding four steals at Wisconsin Jan. 22. Laudermill had 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting against High Point Dec. 20. She produced back-to-back 20-point games against Wisconsin (Feb. 15) when she added a career-high seven assists and at Northwestern (Feb. 18).

Laudermill had 20 points and three rebounds in NU’s 82-61 win at Washington State on Nov. 19.

She finished with 47 career double-figure scoring efforts, including a team-leading 23 as a senior. Laudermill produced 11 career 20-point games.

Laudermill averaged 15.0 points, 4.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds in the 2015 Big Ten Tournament. She produced 16 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals in a quarterfinal loss to No. 14 Iowa on March 6. She had 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go along with three rebounds, four assists and a block in a second-round win over Illinois on March 5. 

Laudermill opened Big Ten play with 14 points and four three-pointers at Minnesota Dec. 29. She had 15 points and a career-high matching four steals in NU’s win at UCLA Nov. 28. She had 14 points, two assists and a block in a win over Pepperdine, Nov. 15. She added seven points and a career-high seven rebounds in NU’s 60-54 win over No. 9 Duke on Dec. 3.

Junior (2013-14)
Laudermill finished 2013-14 as one of the hottest Huskers on her way to second-team All-Big Ten honors. She averaged 11.8 points and 2.7 rebounds while adding 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game. She produced double figures in 11 of 16 Big Ten games, including seven games with 15 or more points. She produced the first five 20-point games of her career in NU's final 14 games of 2013-14.

During Nebraska's nine-game winning streak from Jan. 29 through Feb. 27, Laudermill averaged 15.9 points per game while hitting 29-of-59 three-pointers. That stretch included a school-record-tying seven threes on her way to a career-high 27 points in Nebraska's 94-74 win over No. 8 Penn State on Feb. 24.

She continued her strong play by averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game in helping the Huskers to their first-ever conference tournament title at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Laudermill continued to expand her game by averaging 17.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist and 1.0 steal in Nebraska's two NCAA Tournament games in Los Angeles. She capped her junior season with 22 points, including a career-best 7-for-7 at the free throw line in NU's second-round tournament loss to BYU. Laudermill scored 12 points and forced three BYU turnovers in the final 2:17 to bring NU back from an 11-point deficit with 3:33 to play to cut the lead to just two points with five seconds left.

In seven games against AP top-25 opponents in 2013-14, Laudermill averaged 15.3 points per game.

Laudermill finished with 19 double-figure scoring efforts on the season, including four straight to end the year. She had 13 points in NU's first-round NCAA Tournament win over Fresno State on March 22, after scoring 11 points in the Big Ten Tournament title game win over No. 23 Iowa on March 9.

She erupted for 20 points in Nebraska's 86-58 win over No. 19 Michigan State in the Big Ten semifinals on March 8. Against the Spartans, Laudermill ignited the Huskers to a 23-point halftime lead with 13 points after All-American Jordan Hooper left the game with her second foul and the Huskers clinging to a 16-13 lead. Laudermill added a season-high-matching three steals to go along with four rebounds and two assists against MSU.

Laudermill erupted for a then-career-high 26 points with four threes in a win at Iowa Feb. 1. She added 21 points and a then-career-high five three-pointers to help rally the Huskers to a 71-70 OT win at Wisconsin Feb. 5. She added 15 points and three threes in a win over No. 24 Michigan State Feb. 8. She hit three or more threes in five straight games from Jan. 26 to Feb. 8.

Laudermill had back-to-back then-career-bests of 18 points against Northwestern (Jan. 26) and Michigan (Jan. 29), which helped ignite Nebraska's late-season surge. She had 14 points against Purdue Jan. 19, when she also tied a career high with two blocks. She scored a then-career-high 15 points to go along with five rebounds and a block in a win over eventual NCAA-Tournament qualifier South Dakota Dec. 21. She added 11 points, a career-high five assists and a season-high three steals in a win over Oral Roberts Dec. 29.

Laudermill opened Big Ten play with 14 points, a career-high-matching five assists, two steals and no turnovers in a win over Northwestern Jan. 2. She had 10 points in the second half, including a three-pointer with 2:19 left to spark NU's 5-0 run to end the game in a 66-65 win. She added 13 points and a season-high-tying three steals in a win at Illinois Jan. 12.

Laudermill made her first career start in a win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 21. She produced 12 points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal in NU's win over Southern on Nov. 24, when Jeffery was out with an injury. Laudermill added 10 points against Washington State on Nov. 30, before contributing 11 points at No. 18 North Carolina on Dec. 4.

Sophomore (2012-13)
Laudermill averaged 5.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 2012-13. She scored in 31 of 33 games, with six or more points in eight of NU’s last 10 games, including nine points, two rebounds and a steal in NU’s first-round NCAA Tournament win over Chattanooga. She added seven points - all in the first half - in a loss to No. 5 Duke in the NCAA Sweet 16.

She tied her then-career high for the second time in Big Ten play with 14 points in a win over Minnesota Feb. 3. She hit a season-high three threes against the Gophers while adding three rebounds, one assist and two steals.

Laudermill tied her then-career high with 14 points at Indiana Jan. 10. She hit 6-of-9 shots, including 2-of-4 threes against the Hoosiers. She had nine points and four rebounds against No. 7 Penn State, March 3, and added nine points and two assists in a win over Ohio State Feb. 14. She had eight points and three steals in a win over Iowa March 8, and added eight points and two rebounds at No. 8 Penn State Jan. 13.

Laudermill opened Big Ten play with four points and a career-high matching four steals in a win over Wisconsin Jan. 2. It was her second four-steal game of the season (Temple, Nov. 11). She added seven points, including five straight in overtime to tie the game at 66, in NU’s 69-66 OT loss to No. 14 Purdue Jan. 5.

Laudermill hit a go-ahead three as the shot clock expired with less than two minutes left in NU’s win at USC Nov. 23. She had eight points, three rebounds, two steals and an assist in a loss to No. 11 Maryland Nov. 28. She added six points - all at the line - in a win over Idaho State Dec. 1. She managed eight points at Creighton Dec. 5, before notching six points and three steals in a win over No. 24 Florida State Dec. 8.

Freshman (2011-12)
In 28 games, Laudermill averaged 4.0 points while adding 1.5 rebounds and nearly one steal per game. She produced a pair of double-figure scoring efforts and 10 games with five or more points on the year.

Laudermill produced her first double-figure scoring effort in Big Ten play with 10 points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal in 20 minutes off the bench to help the Huskers to a 93-89 3OT win at No. 15 Purdue Feb. 2. Laudermill scored all 10 of her points after halftime. She added a strong effort with nine points, three rebounds and a steal in Nebraska's first-round Big Ten Tournament win over Northwestern March 1.

Laudermill played 15 minutes in Nebraska's first-round NCAA Tournament battle with Kansas in Little Rock, Ark., March 18. She did not score, but managed three rebounds and a steal.

She got her Nebraska career off to an explosive start with 14 points, four assists and three steals in a career-opening win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 12. She hit four three-pointers, which is believed to be the most threes ever by an NU freshman in an opener. She scored 11 points in her first seven minutes in the first half.

After her big debut against Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Laudermill pitched in five points, four rebounds and an assist in NU's win over No. 23 USC (Nov. 18). She added five points, four boards and three assists against Mississippi Valley State (Nov. 15).

Laudermill had nine points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in a win over Savannah State, before getting seven points and a career-high-tying three steals at Georgia Tech Nov. 30. Laudermill then missed two weeks with illness, missing four of NU's next five games.

She added nine points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal to help the Huskers to a win over Indiana on Jan. 5. She had seven points and two boards in a loss to Penn State Jan. 15, before hitting a pair of big threes to finish with six points in a win at Illinois Jan. 29.

During NU's tour of Europe, Aug. 5-15, 2011, Laudermill averaged 6.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals per game. She had her best effort in the final game with nine points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals in a win over the Danish National Team.

Laudermill also got off to a strong start in the classroom by earning a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2011.

High School
A two-time first-team All-CIF 1A selection, Laudermill averaged 16.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.5 steals per game as a senior for Canyon Springs High School in Moreno Valley, Calif. She also led Canyon Springs to a top-25 national ranking as a senior and a berth in the CIF Southern Regional Final against No. 1 Mater Dei.

Mater Dei featured WBCA National High School Player of the Year Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and All-American Alexyz Vaioletama.

Laudermill was ranked the No. 26 overall prospect in the nation by Blue Star Basketball and the No. 95 prospect by All-Star Girls Report prior to her senior season.

Laudermill averaged 16.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.8 steals per game as a junior. She earned first-team All-CIF 1A honors for a team that finished 27-5 and ranked among the top 25 teams in California.

Laudermill was a two-time first-team CIF All-Southern Section pick, and a two-time first-team All-Inland Empire selection for Coach Gail Hale at Canyon Springs. Over her final two seasons of high school, Laudermill combined to connect on 98 three-pointers.

Personal
Tear'a is the daughter of Theron and Pam Laudermill and was born Dec. 23, 1992. Tear'a comes from an athletic family, as her father Theron played college basketball at UC Riverside, and was an assistant coach on Tear'a's high school team. Her brother, Theron II, was a senior starter and the leading scorer on Cal State San Bernardino's basketball team in 2011-12. She chose Nebraska over Arizona State, Kansas and Vanderbilt

A criminology and criminal justice major, Tear'a earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2011. She earned her bachelor's degree from Nebraska in August of 2015.

She played professionally in China, Finland and Romania. In the spring of 2018, Laudermill competed at the USA Basketball Women's 3x3 National Championships.
