Freshman (2002-03)
A sophomore academically at Nebraska, Lacey Hanson earned a spot on the Nebraska roster as a walk-on during fall workouts. Hanson saw action in 19 of Nebraska's games, recording nine assists and two steals. She averaged 0.5 points and 0.7 rebounds per game. Hanson was 2-for-2 from the free-throw line.
High School
A talented all-around athlete, Hanson earned 12 varsity letters in five sports during her career at Ralston High School. Hanson captured four letters in basketball, including first-team River City Conference honors as a senior for Coach Kelly Grote. Hanson also captured three letters in volleyball, while claiming two letters in track and field and tennis and one letter in golf.
Along with her success in athletics, Hanson earned academic all-state honors in basketball and was a member of the National Honor Society.
Personal
The daughter of Keith and Kristie Hanson, Lacey was born April 5, 1983, in Omaha, Neb. She has one sister, Brittany. Hanson enrolled at Nebraska in the fall of 2001.
