Senior (1990-91)
A two-time letterwinner for the Huskers following the 1988-89 and 1990-91 seasons, Shawn Taylor appeared in 23 games as a senior, scoring 15 points and grabbing 29 rebounds on the year. She finished her three years at Nebraska with 121 points, 118 rebounds and 23 assists. She played in 50 career games with 13 starts for the Huskers.
Senior - Redshirt (1989-90)
Taylor took a redshirt season during her second year at Nebraska.
Junior (1988-89)
An immediate contributor in her first season at Nebraska after transferring from Barton County (Kan.) Junior College, Taylor played in 27 games with 13 starts. She averaged 3.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game while shooting 45.7 percent from the field and 64.5 percent from the free throw line.
Taylor made six starts in 13 Big Eight Conference games and averaged 2.0 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. She scored a career-high nine points against Creighton on Jan. 6, and pulled down a career-best 10 rebounds against Auburn on Dec. 29.
Barton County (Kan.) Junior College (1986-87, 1987-88)
Taylor averaged 13 points and seven rebounds as a sophomore at Barton County to lead the Jayhawks to the regional title and the national tournament. She earned all-region and all-conference honors. Taylor was also a junior college teammate of fellow Husker Amy Bullock.
High School
Taylor was a two-time All-Colorado selection at East High School in Denver.
Personal
The daughter of Reta Ward, Shawn was born on May 19, 1968, in Denver. She majored in human development and family science at Nebraska.
