LaVonda "Kit" Stevens was a two-time letterwinner for Nebraska after transferring to the Huskers from Wichita State. Stevens, who redshirted in her first season after transferring in 1984-85, appeared in 47 games with one start in her NU career. She scored five points while pulling down 34 rebounds and dishing out 34 assists. A solid defensive point guard, Stevens added 21 steals in her NU career.
A native of Omaha, Neb., Stevens graduated from Memorial High School in Joplin, Mo. She is the daughter of Georgia Stevens and was born Dec. 25, 1963. She majored in finance at Nebraska.
