Junior (1994-95)
Roquayyah (pronounced rah-QUEE-luh) Brown offered a spark at times inside, averaging 8.2 points and 5.5 rebounds on the season.  Brown played in 24 of NU's 27 games and broke into the lineup eight times.

Brown notched two double-doubles and led the team in scoring four times.  Against Missouri, Brown led the team in both scoring (20) and rebounds (nine).  Brown also hit the 20-point mark against Colgate on Jan. 1.

Westark Junior College
Brown averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds, leading the team to a 32-2 record and a No. 1 junior college ranking.  As a sophomore, she averaged 13.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and shot 45.3 percent from the field.

In addition, Brown produced 60 steals, 28 assists and 11 blocks.

High School
Brown was the player-of-the-year for three years at Harlan Community Acadamy in Chicago.  She averged 24 points and 13 rebounds as a senior.  Brown was also a member of the city all-start team and an All-City selection as a senior.  She also earned MVP honors for three seasons.

Personal
Brown is the daughter of Julia and Sammy Brown.  She is the sister of Nafeesah Brown, NU's leading scorer (20.2) and rebounder (10.1) in 1993-94.
