Team 1992-93 Nebraska Women's Basketball

Senior (1992-93)
After three injury-filled seasons, Kristi Anderson played in all but one game with the Huskers and cracked the starting lineup three times.  She posted one of the best shooting percentages on the team by hitting 54.5 percent of her shots from the field, averaging 3.1 points per game.

Anderson also made her prescence known under the basket, blocking 14 shots, recording 17 steals and averaging 2.3 rebounds per game.  

In Nebraska's 87-39 win at Iowa State, Anderson posted game-highs of 15 points and 9 rebounds.

Junior (1991-92)
Anderson saw action in 23 of Nebraska's 32 games, scored 43 points and totaled 47 rebounds.  She equaled her career best by scoring nine points in an NU win against Oklahoma State, which included a four-of-four shooting performance from the field.  She established a personal high with seven rebounds against Grambling State where she scored five points.  During the summer of 1992, she participated in the Nebraska Cornhusker State games and helped her team to a gold medal.

Sophomore (1990-91)
In her first season of action at Nebraska, Anderson saw limited playing time as she appeared in 13 of the Huskers' 28 games.  She averaged 1.8 points and 1.9 rebounds as a reserve, scoring a personal-best nine points against Illinois-Chicago.

Freshman (1989-90)
Anderson suffered a major knee injury during the first week of preseason training and was sidelined for the year.  During the summer, she played with the Athletes In Action team that toured Brazil.

Redshirt (1988-89)
A highly-recruited high school performer, Anderson came to Nebraska as one of the tallest players ever, but elected to redshirt her freshman season to develop her strength and conditioning, and improve her game fundamentals.

High School
At Abraham Lincoln High School, Anderson earned back-to-back Iowa All-State honors, was named the 1988 Southeast Iowa Player-of-the-Year and scored over 1,000 points in her career.  She earned all-city honors three times and All-Metro twice.  she also earned all-state honors in volleyball.

Personal
The daughter of Gaylord and Bonnie Anderson, Anderson received her degree in English and speech in 1993.
