Senior (1988-89)
Kim Harris made a strong impact with Nebraska as its second-leading scorer.  Harris, who started every game for the Huskers, averaged 13.0 points per game and hit 50 percent of her shots from the floor.  Harris also hit 76.6 percent of her free throws, while leading the Huskers in rebounding, averaging 6.9 boards per game.

Against Minnesota in the Huskers first game of the season, Harris led the team in scoring (25) and rebounds (7).  In the 70-64 loss to Iowa State, Harris scored a career-high 28 points and produced 10 rebounds.  In all, Harris recorded six double-doubles.

Junior (1987-88)
Harris transferred to Nebraska after earning honorable mention all-conference at Bradley University under head coach Angela Beck.  She sat out the 1986-87 season and made an immediate impact with the Huskers, earning Big Eight Conference Newcomer-of-the-Year honors. 

The 6-1 center averaged 10.6 points per game and led the Huskers with 6.8 rebounds and a 57.1 field goal percentage.  She had a season-high 23 points against Oklahoma and also against Colorado.  Three times she grabbed a team-high 14 rebounds, had five games with over 10 rebounds, had four games with 10 or more points and rebounds, closing the season with 10 consecutive games scoring 10 or more points.

Harris is the daughter of Dorothy L. Harris and was born May 25, 1966, in Decatur.
