Senior (2005-06)


Ivana Drmanac (pronounced EE-vah-nah-DER-mah-neck) missed Nebraska's first seven games as a senior after recovering from knee surgery before returning to the court at Michigan on Dec. 17.

Drmanac played in five games as a senior, scoring her first points of the year in a win over Texas State on Dec. 20, before adding two more points in NU's win over Oklahoma State on Senior Night in Lincoln on Feb. 21.

She dished out her only assist of the season against Texas State, and added her only steal of the season in the win over Grambling State on Dec. 29. She added rebounds against Grambling State and Oklahoma State.

Junior (2004-05)
Drmanac added depth for the Huskers throughout the season, appearing in 19 games off the bench. She averaged 0.8 points and 0.6 rebounds per contest for the Huskers, while also knocking down four three-pointers, and dishing out eight total assists in just 5.2 minutes per game.

She enjoyed the best game of her NU career with a career-high eight points to go along with career bests of four rebounds and two assists in 14 minutes of action off the bench in the Huskers’ 89-46 victory over Northern Colorado on Nov. 19. Drmanac hit 3-of-6 shots from the field, including a 2-for-4 performance from three-point range.

Drmanac added three points on 1-of-3 shooting from beyond the arc, while adding three rebounds in 13 minutes of action in the Huskers’ 72-54 win over Hampton in the consolation game of the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands on Nov. 27.

She added three points in just four minutes by connecting on her lone three-point attempt of the game in the Huskers’ Big 12 regular-season opening victory over Colorado on Jan. 5 in Lincoln.

Her only other points of the season came with her two-point contribution in four minutes off the bench in the Huskers’ opening-round loss to North Carolina State in the Paradise Jam on Nov. 26.

Although she only scored against Colorado in Big 12 play, she tied her career high by playing 14 minutes off the bench in NU’s loss at Texas on Feb. 9 in Austin.

For the season, Drmanac dished out eight assists while committing just five turnovers. She also added a pair of steals, with one each against Southern Louisiana and Colorado. She recorded two assists against Northern Colorado, Washington State and Memphis, while adding solo assists against Southeastern Louisiana and Texas.

Colby CC (2002-03, 2003-04)
Drmanac ranks No. 23 on Colby CC's all-time scoring list with 573 points. As a sophomore in 2003-04, she averaged 9.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game for the Lady Trojans. She shot 50 percent from two-point range, while hitting 32.4 percent (36-111) of her three-point attempts. She also connected on 72.2 percent of her free throws.

The Lady Trojans finished with a 29-4 overall record and advanced to the NJCAA Region VI semifinals in 2004 under Coach Tom Stephens.

Colby CC finished with a 14-2 record to tie for first in the Jayhawk West Conference. It was the highest finish by the Lady Trojans in school history.

As a freshman, Drmanac averaged 9.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game to help Colby to an 18-14 overall record and a 9-7 league mark, which was the best finish in school history before 2003-04.

Before Drmanac arrived at Colby CC, the Lady Trojans finished with an 8-23 overall record and a 2-14 league mark.

High School
Drmanac attended The XI Belgrade High School and played club basketball for Radivoj Korac and Partizan. She competed with Nebraska and Colby Community College teammate Jelena Spiric on the Partizan club squad that won Yugoslavian national title in 1998. Drmanac also won national titles with Partizan in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Personal
The daughter of Milorad Drmanac and Slavica Markovic, Ivana was born March 7, 1983, in Belgrade, Serbia & Montenegro. Ivana has one sister, Bojana, 29. A solid student, Ivana majored in finance and claimed a spot on the 2005 Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Academic Honor Roll. She completed her undergraduate degree at Nebraska in May of 2007.

Drmanac chose Nebraska over Hawaii, Oklahoma State, UTEP, New Mexico State and UNC-Wilmington.
