McDill's Honors

Senior (1998-99)
As one of the hardest workers on the team, McDill was the top-performing senior in 1998-99, averaging 5.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, starting in 31 contests.

Hitting 53.1 percent of her shots, McDill ranked second among Husker players in shooting percentage and also knocked down 68.9 percent of her free throws.  In addition, McDill dished out 31 assists and recorded 24 steals.

In NU's 85-66 rout of St. John, McDill recorded a career-high 17 points and eight rebounds.  Against Creighton she recorded a career high with 9 rebounds and added 14 points.

Junior (1997-98)
McDill was one of six Huskers to play in all 33 games, while picking up 27 starts at forward.  Overall, she averaged 4.9 points and 3.3 rebounds, playing 20.1 minutes per game.

McDill saw tremendous improvement at the free throw line for the Huskers.  McDill connected on 86.0 percent of her free throws, which would have ranked 20th nationally if she would have met the minimum requirements.  McDill's numbers at the line came just one season after hitting 46.7 percent of her attempts at the line, an improvement of nearly 40 percent.  McDill was 8-8 from the line against Alabama and Wichita State, and was perfect from the line a total of 12 times during the season.

McDill opened the season by tying her career high with 12 points against Miami (Ohio).  She posted two other double-figure scoring games on the season, with 11 points against Bradley and 10 points against Wichita State.  Against Bradley, McDill added a season-high eight rebounds.  She finished the season hitting 45.2 percent of her field goal attempts.  McDill started the first 22 games for the Huskers.

She averaged 3.9 points and 2.7 rebounds in her 12 starts and 16 apperances in Big 12 Conference play.  She shot 44.6 percent from the field during league play, while connecting on 86.7 percent of her free throws.

Sophomore (1996-97)
McDill played in 19 games for the Huskers, averaging 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.  She averaged 6.5 minutes per contest, 5.9 in Big 12 Conference play, to go along with 1.0 point and 1.1 rebounds in league games.  McDill shot 45.5  percent from the field for the season, 47.6 percent at the foul line.

She had a season-best seven points against Pacific, hitting 2-of-3 shots from the field and 3-of-4 from the foul line.  McDill also made both of her shots from the field en route to six points at Creighton.  She grabbed three rebounds against Creighton, Minnesota and Baylor.

Freshman (1995-96)
McDill averaged 2.3 points and 1.4 rebounds, while appearing in 24 games.  She scored a career-high 12 points and grabbed four rebounds in Nebraska's 107-38 rout of Nicholls State, hitting 4-of-5 from the field and 4-of-4 at the line to earn a start against South Alabama, where she responded with five points and three rebounds, hitting 2-of-3 shots from the field.

McDill's 59.4 percent field goal percentage was the best on the team.  McDill got her college career off to a solid start with six points in 11 minutes in a win over Gonzaga.

High School
McDill was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-America team and was the Gatorade Regional Player-of-the-Year as a senior.  Street & Smith's Magazine listed her on its All-America honorable-mention list, after she averaged 18 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two steals as a senior for Coach Ross Hall at Campbell County High School.

McDill also excelled as a swimming on the national level, capturing 11 state swimming titles to earn all-state and All-America honors and qualify for the Junior Olympics.  She lettered three times in basketball to go along with three in swimming and two each in track and soccer.  She was named to the Dean's List three times.

Personal
McDill earned her bachelor's degree in education in 2000.  Her full name is Corissa Ann McDill.  The daughter of Mike and Penny McDill, Cori has one brother, Mickey, and two sisters, Layl and Farah who played basketball at Colorado State.

Cori was a teammate of former Husker swimmer Justin Kapinus on the Campbell County High School swimming team.
