2000-01 (Senior)
An honorable-mention All-Big 12 Conference performer, Casy Leonhardt was Nebraska's most consistent threat in 2000-01.

Leonhardt averaged 12.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocked shots per game to rank among the top 20 players in the league in all three categories.

One of the most dominant shot blockers in the Big 12, Leonhardt ranked third in the league with 51 blocks, which ranks as the fifth-best single-season total in school history.  With 37 blocks in 1999-2000, Leonhardt's 88 career blocks at NU also rank her fifth on the school's career charts.

The only Husker to start all 30 games in 2000-01, Leonhardt improved every aspect of her game as a senior.  Her scoring, rebounding, blocked shots, assists, steals, field goal percentage and free throw percentage all improved over her junior year.

Leonhardt scored in double figures in 21 of Nebraska's 30 games, including a career-high 29-point effort at Kansas State on Feb. 17 that included a season-high 16 rebounds to cap a run of four straight double-doubles.  With six double-doubles, Leonhardt produced 12 doubles in her career.  She pulled down double figures in rebounds seven times in 2000-01 and 13 times in her NU career, including five straight games from Feb. 7 to Feb. 21.

In her four-year college career, including two seasons at the University of Illinois, Leonhardt scored 1,104 points, pulled down 688 rebounds and blocked 176 shots.  Had she played her entire career at Nebraska, she would rank 14th in school history in scoring, seventh in rebounding and second in blocked shots.

1999-2000 (Junior)
Leonhardt ranked third among the Huskers in scoring with 9.8 points per game, while ranking second in rebounding with 6.2 boards per game.  She ranked second on the team and seventh in the Big 12 with 37 blocks.

Leonhardt posted six double-doubles, including season highs with 21 points and 17 rebounds at Montana.  She added double-doubles against Drake, Creighton, at Kansas, Colorado, and Baylor in the Big 12 Tournament.  She scored double figures 16 times and grabbed at least 10 rebounds six times.  In the Big 12 Tournament, Leonhardt averaged 13.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.

1998-99 (Redshirt)
Leonhardt redshirted while sitting out the 1998-99 season due to NCAA transfer rules.  She practiced with the Huskers, but did not compete.

1997-98 (Sophomore/Illinois)
Leonhardt played in all 30 games, starting nine for an Illinois team that advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16.  She averaged 6.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.  She led the team with 51 blocked shots and shot 42.9 percent from the field and 62.5 percent from the free-throw line.

All nine of Leonhardt's starts came against Big Ten opponents.  In 16 league games, she averaged 6.8 points and 4.6 rebounds, while recording 34 blocks.  She hit 43.3 percent of her field goals and 61.5 percent of her free throws.  She scored a season-high 20 points and added eight rebounds and four blocked shots at Indiana.  She finished the season by scoring in double figures on 10 occasions.  Leonhardt opened the season with three consecutive double-doubles, including 11 points and 11 boards against No. 3 Old Dominion.  She added her fourth and final double -double with 10 points and 10 boards in a win over No. 21 Colorado.

1996-97 (Freshman/Illinois)
Leonhardt played in all 32 games averageing 18 minutes per game.  She started seven contests, including the final six games in the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments.  She scored nine points, added six rebounds, one block and a steal in Illinois' win over Duke in the NCAA Tournament.

Leonhardt set a Big Ten Tournament record with 10 blocks, including five against Minnesota.  She notched her first double-double with 11 points and 11 boards against Michigan State.  Her 37 blocks on the year were an Illinois freshman record.

Leonhardt averaged 7.0 points and 4.5 boards per game, hit 53.5 percent of her field goals and 67.2 percent of her free throws.  Leonhardt scored a season-high 15 points against Creighton and grabbed a season-high 14 rebounds against Butler.

High School

A 1996 Parade and Nike High School All-American and two-time Street & Smith's All-American, Leonhardt played in the 1996 Nike All-America and IBCA all-star games.  As a senior, she averaged 24.5 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks for Coach Ron Jakes at Downers Grove North.  She finished with a school-record 2,001career points as a two-time all-state pick.

Personal
Casey was born Jan. 19, 1978, in Hinsdale, Ill.  She is the daughter of Rick and Pam Leonhardt.  Rick played basketball at Elmhurst College (1968-71), and Pam played volleyball at George Williams College.  Casey earned her degree in Finance.
