Senior (2006-07)
Ashley Ford enjoyed a solid senior season as a starter for the Huskers in 2006-07. Ford joined fellow seniors Kiera Hardy, Chelsea Aubry and Jelena Spiric, along with sophomore Kelsey Griffin in the starting lineup for all 32 games. NU was one of only four NCAA Division I women's basketball teams to feature the same starting five every game in 2006-07.

Ford provided excellent leadership as Nebraska's point guard, engineering the Huskers' drive to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2000. She averaged 3.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. She erupted for a career-high 13 points on 5-for-5 shooting from the field in Nebraska's 90-70 Senior Night win over Colorado on Feb. 27. She was a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range against the Buffaloes and dished out a career-high seven assists in her final game playing in front of her hometown crowd.

The former Lincoln Northeast graduate scored 11 points in Nebraska's win at Kansas State on Feb. 7, which followed on the heels of an eight-point effort in NU's win over No. 13 Baylor on Feb. 3. She added eight points in Husker wins over Kansas (Jan. 27) and North Carolina State (Dec. 28). She scored four points, pulled down five rebounds and grabbed a career-best three steals to help the Huskers knock off Northwestern (Dec. 16). She also hit a running 30-footer to beat the first-half buzzer and give NU an eight-point halftime lead against the Wildcats.

In Nebraska's first-ever road win at Texas on Jan. 3, Ford dished out six assists and sank two free throws with 4.8 seconds left to seal the victory. She had six points, a career-high six rebounds, two assists and the only block of her career in NU's win at Kansas on Jan. 13.

Junior (2005-06)
The only Nebraska native on the Huskers' 2005-06 roster, Ford solidified NU's backcourt, primarily as a reserve point guard.

The Lincoln Northeast High School product played in all 32 games and made her first career start against Texas A&M on Feb. 11.

For the season, she averaged 0.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. She had a solid 1.7-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio on the season, dishing out 34 assists while committing just 20 turnovers on the year.

Ford, who played behind LaToya Howell at point guard, started the season shooting the ball extremely well. She connected on the first six field goal attempts of her career, including a trio of three-pointers. She did not miss a shot until the ninth game of her career, when she misfired on a three-pointer in a win over Texas State.

She enjoyed a season-best performance in Nebraska's victory over Creighton on Nov. 21, when she scored five points, including her first career three-pointer, while adding a season-high four rebounds in 19 minutes of action.

She matched her season best with four rebounds against Iowa State on Feb. 1.

Ford distributed a season-high four assists against Texas State, and matched that effort with four more assists in the Huskers' win over Oklahoma State on Feb. 21.

She played a season-high 20 minutes in Nebraska's win over Texas Southern, when she hit her only three-point attempt, grabbed a rebound and dished out an assist.

A solid defensive player, Ford notched 12 steals on the season, including two steals against Missouri on Jan. 11.

Sophomore (2004-05, Cloud County CC)
Ford averaged 14.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 3.3 steals per game as a sophomore at Cloud County (Kan.) Community College in 2004-05. She led the T-Birds in scoring, assists and steals, while ranking third on the club in rebounding.

For her efforts, she earned second-team all-conference honors and was an NJCAA Region VI honorable-mention selection.

Ford also shot a solid 34.8 percent from three-point range by knocking down 49-of-141 shots from beyond the arc.

Her 49 made three-pointers as a sophomore would rank as the seventh-best total by a Nebraska shooter in school history. Overall, Ford shot 40.2 percent from the field and 69.1 percent from the free throw line.

In her career, she led Cloud County to a 40-23 record, including a 15-16 mark as a sophomore. She started all 63 games of her junior college career for Coach Brett Erkenbrack.

Ford was also one of only two players in Cloud County history to score more than 725 points, grab more than 250 rebounds, dish out more than 250 assists and record more than 150 steals.

Freshman (2003-04, Cloud County CC)

Ford led Cloud County to an impressive 25-7 record as a freshman in 2003-04 by averaging 9.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game in her first season for the T-Birds, and was Cloud County's top returning scorer heading into her sophomore season.

For her efforts, Ford claimed second-team All-Jayhwak West Conference accolades and was also an honorable-mention NJCAA Region VI pick.

High School
Ford was a third-team Super-State selection as a senior guard at Lincoln Northeast High School in 2002-03. She enjoyed a strong senior season despite recovering from a torn ACL suffered the summer before her senior year of high school.

In her final year as a Rocket, Ford averaged 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game.

As a junior for Coach John Clark and the Rockets, Ford averaged 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 35.6 percent from three-point range.

Ford earned second-team Class A all-state honors as a junior and senior, and was a three-time all-city selection in Lincoln, while earning three letters in basketball during her high school career.

Along with her accomplishments on the court, Ford was also a third-team Super-State goalkeeper for the Rocket soccer program. She earned three letters in soccer along with three more letters as a softball player for Lincoln Northeast.

Ford was also a two-time member of the Lincoln Northeast Honor Roll.

In addition to her high school experience, Ford played for the Cornhusker Shooting Stars and Coach Dan Lesoing.

Personal
The daughter of Lynn Ford, Ashley was born Sept. 3, 1985 in Fort Rucker, Ala. She has one brother, Austin. Ashley earned her bachelor's degree in communication studies in May of 2008. She claimed a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll in the fall of 2007.

Ford chose Nebraska over New Mexico State, Temple, Kentucky, Denver and Akron.
