Lightfoot's Honors

Freshman (2003-04)
Andrea Lightfoot competed in 28 of Nebraska's games in her only season with the Huskers.  She scored 19 points on the season and grabbed 15 rebounds.  An excellent ballhandler, Lightfoot dished out 14 assists and had a 1.4 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Through the Big 12 Conference season, Lightfoot was 6-for-11 from the free throw line, 54.5 percent.  She also scored eight points in league play.

Lightfoot's best performance came in Nebraska's 64-56 win at Washinton State, Lightfoot had a career-high three points and a rebound.

High School
The two-time all-state guard averaged 20.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game as a senior at Omaha Marian. She led Class A in scoring as a senior and a junior, when she averaged 19.3 points per contest for Coach Jim Miller and the Crusaders. Lightfoot earned third-team All-Nebraska honors from the Omaha World-Herald as a junior.

The 5-8 guard was also a member of the Nebraska/Iowa Elite team and was the second-leading scorer at the Miss Basketball Dakota Showcase in the summer of 2002, scoring 137 points, including 35 points in one game.

Lightfoot also lettered in volleyball at Omaha Marian and was an honor roll student.

Personal
The daughter of Perry and Denise Lightfoot, Andrea has one younger brother, Anthony, 12. Andrea was born on Sept. 9, 1985, in Omaha, Neb. Lightfoot has not declared a major at Nebraska. She chose Nebraska over Kansas State, Hawaii, Idaho State and Seton Hall.
