Indoor: Finished seventh in the shot put at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a throw of 59-6 1/4 (18.14m)...set a personal-best mark of 60-6 3/4 (18.46m) in the shot put at the Big Ten Invitational...had a PR throw of 60-7 3/4 (18.48m) in the weight throw at the Nebraska Tune-Up...won the shot put title at the Graduate Classic.

Outdoor: Placed eighth in the shot put at the Big Ten Championships with a PR mark of 58-4 1/2 (17.79m)...qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round and finished 40th in the shot put with a throw of 57-7 3/4 (17.57m)...threw a personal-best mark of 159-8 (48.66m) to win the discus title at the Nebraska Invite...had a PR throw of 172-9 (52.66m) in the hammer throw at the Texas Tech Shootout.

2018 (Freshman/Redshirt)
Indoor: Finished 14th in the shot put at the Big Ten Indoor Championships with a season-best mark of 56-0 1/2 (17.08m)...placed fifth in the shot put at both the Graduate Classic and Mark Colligan Memorial.

Outdoor: Redshirted...threw the discus 153-5 (46.77m) at the Nebraska Invitational while competing unattached.

Before Nebraska
Attended Coeur d’Alene High School in Idaho...won the Idaho 5A discus and shot put state championships as a senior and was the shot put champion as a junior as well...set school records in both events, 67-0 (20.42m) in the shot put and 188-5 (57.42m) in the discus...his shot put mark ranked seventh in the nation in 2017 among high school athletes...named the 2016-17 Idaho Gatorade Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year...placed sixth at the USATF Junior Championships in 2017.
