Attended Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, Minnesota...finished as the runner-up in the 800m at the Minnesota AA State Championships as a junior and was fourth as a senior and sophomore, as well as fifth as a freshman...was a four-time state champion with Minnetonka's 4x800m relay team...won the 4x400m relay state title as a freshman and took second as a sophomore...ran an 800m personal best of 2:12.33.
