Indoor: Finished fourth at the Big Ten Indoor Championships by clearing 13-7 3/4 (4.16)...won the Holiday Inn Invitational to open the season...placed third at the Tyson Invitational with a mark of 13-7 1/4 (4.15).
Outdoor: Set a personal best of 13-9 1/4 (4.20) at the Drake Relays pole vault, which was moved indoors and thus tied her for fourth on the indoor top-10 chart...finished 14th at the NCAA West Prelims by clearing 13-6 1/4 (4.12)...placed sixth at the Big The Championships with a mark of 13-7 3/4 (4.16).
2015 (Junior)
Indoor: Placed 22nd at the Big Ten Indoor Championships in the pole vault (12-9, 3.89m)...set an indoor season best of 13-1 (3.99m) to place second at the adidas Classic.
Outdoor: Finished 10th at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in the pole vault (13-2 1/4, 4.02m)...competed at the NCAA West Preliminary Round...won pole vault titles at the Nebraska Invitational (13-3 3/4, 4.06m) and Concorida Mid-Week Challenge with a season-best 13-4 1/4 (4.07m).
2014 (Sophomore)
Indoor: Competed in the pole vault at six meets for Nebraska during the 2014 indoor season...posted a clearance of 13-0 3/4 (3.98) at the Frank Sevigne Invitational to take the crown...claimed top honors at the Holiday Inn Invitational with a mark of 12-9 1/2 (3.90)... notched a pair of runner-up finishes at the Mark Colligan Memorial and the Nebraska Tune-Up...finished 12th in the pole vault at the Big Ten Indoor Championships.
Outdoor: Posted a season-best 12-6 3/4 (3.83) in the pole vault at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships.
2013 (Freshman)
Completed her first indoor season with the Huskers with a third-place finish in the pole vault at the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships, posting a vault of 12-11 1/2 (3.95)...competed in seven meets during the indoor season...posted a season-best mark of 13-0 1/4 (3.97) in the pole vault at the Mark Colligan Memorial...participated in seven meets during the 2013 outdoor season...finished ninth in the pole vault at the 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Championships as she cleared a season and NU outdoor team-best 12-10 1/4 (3.91)...earned a pair of top finishes in the pole vault with victories at the Nebraska Invite with a mark of 12-3 1/2 (3.74) and a 11-11 3/4 (3.65) showing at the Pre-Drake meet...competed in the pole vault at the NCAA West Prelims...earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the fall of 2012.
Before Nebraska (Grand Island Northwest)
Merrill joined the Huskers from Grand Island Northwest High School in Grand Island, Neb... recorded prep-bests in the pole vault (12-2 1/4), 100 meter hurdles (15.65), long jump (16-9 1/4) and triple jump (37-1 1/4)... was the 2012 Nebraska Class B state champon in the pole vault (11-10)... posted a seventh-place finish in the long jump at the 2012 Nebraska Class B State Championships (16-9 1/4), finished third in the triple jump (36-6 1/2) and seventh in the 100-meter hurdles (15.93)... finished fourth in the triple jump (35-11 1/2) at the 2011 Nebraska Class B State Track and Field Championships, while also positing a second-place finish in the pole vault (11-4)... claimed the 2010 Class B state pole vault title with a vault of 11-2.
