Outdoor: Competed in three regular-season meets...posted outdoor PRs in the 800m (2:42.20), the 1,500m (5:18.67) and the 3,000m (11:27.23).

Before Nebraska
Attended JSerra Catholic High School in San Juan Capistrano, California...was a three-time Trinity League cross country champion and all-CIF-SS selection and all-state pick...named the Trinity League most valuable runner three times in cross country and once in track...was the 1,600m and 3,200m Trinity League champion...set a one-mile prep best of 5:34.09...set a 3,200m PR of 11:14.80 and a 1,600m PR of 5:13.08...won four Trinity League titles with JSerra Catholic and two team state titles...named a scholar athlete.
