Indoor: Competed six times in the shot put and won two titles...threw a season-best 60-6 at the adidas Classic to win the event...also won the Mark Colligan Memorial with a throw of 59-0 1/4...finished fifth at the Big Ten Championships, throwing the shot put 59-3 1/2...competed five times in the weight throw, winning titles in the first two meets of the season...captured the Holiday Inn Invite with a throw of 62-3 3/4...also won the Mark Colligan Memorial with a throw of 63-11...saved his best performance of the season for the Big Ten Championships, tossing 64-4 1/2 to finish 11th...received the Mark Colligan Memorial Award as the most outstanding thrower at the Mark Colligan Memorial meet.

Indoor: Recorded the fourth-best all-time NU mark and a personal best of 65-4 1/4 (19.92) in the weight throw at the Tyson Invitational en route to a fourth-place finish...claimed top honors in the weight throw at the Mark Colligan Memorial...earned a personal-best shot put of 60-6 1/2 (18.45) in a third-place showing at the New Mexico Invitational...finished runner-up in the shot put at both the Holiday Inn Invitational and the Mark Colligan Memorial...finished 10th at the Big Ten Indoor Championships in both the shot put and weight throw competitions. Outdoor: In the hammer throw, set both a personal best and a school record at the Nebraska Invite with a distance of 207-10 (63.35)...finished 15th at the Big Ten Championships and snagged a 10th-place finish at the NCAA West Prelims...finished the NCAA Championships with a distance of 202-9 (61.80) to place 18th and earn honorable-mention All-America honors...in the shot put, earned first-place finishes in the Nebraska Quad and the Nebraska Invite...recorded a personal best at the Triton Invite with a distance of 62-8 1/2 (19.11)...also earned a fifth-place finish at the Big Ten Championships and competed at the NCAA West Prelims, finishing 18th...named to the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll both semesters, as well as the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team and USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
