2013 (Senior)
Erik Sutterfield competed in four meets during the 2013 indoor season... posted a season-beat vault of 16-5 1/2 (5.02) at the Nebraska Tune-Up... finished with a vault of 16-4 (5.02) at the 2013 Big Ten Indoor Championships...participated in three meets during the 2013 outdoor campaign...notched the third best 2013 NU men's outdoor mark in the pole vault with a height of 16-4 3/4 (5.00)...finished tied for 15th at the 2013 Big Ten Outdoor Championships with a 15-7 1/4 (4.76) showing in Columbus on May 12.

2012 (Junior)
Erik Sutterfield posted an indoor personal-best vault of 17-1 (5.21) at the Tyson Invitational on Feb. 11... competed in four other meets during the indoor season... recorded a mark of 16-2 3/4 at the Holiday Inn Invitational on Jan. 14... recorded an outdoor season-best pole vault of 16-10 (5.13) at the Nebraska Invitational on May 5... finished sixth in the pole vault at the 2012 Big Ten Outdoor Championships, posting a mark of 16-7 1/4 (5.06)... was named to the Spring 2012 Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.

2011 (Sophomore/Sophomore)
Sutterfield competed in four meets during the outdoor track and field season... started the outdoor season with a 16-6 3/4 pole vault at the WSU Classic on April 2... posted a 16-7 1/2 pole vault at the Tom Jones Memorial on April 16... recorded a personal-best 17-0 3/4 at the Ward Haylett Invitational on May 7... finished 10th in the pole vault with a mark of 16-4 at the 2011 Big 12 Outdoor Championships.

2010 (Redshirt/Redshirt Freshman)
Sutterfield redshirted the indoor season and then was a contributor on the Huskers' Big 12 title team during the outdoor season... opened the outdoor campaign by topping his previous best of 15-7 1/4 in the pole vault with a clearance of 16-1 3/4 at the Jim Click Shootout... added nearly seven inches at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a vault of 16-8 1/4 to place seventh... advanced to the NCAA West Regional where he cleared 16-2 3/4.

2009 (Freshman/Redshirt)
Sutterfield competed for the Huskers indoors and redshirted outdoors... opened his collegiate career at the Holiday Inn Invitational (15-1)... won his first meet the following week with a then-indoor-best vault of 16-0 3/4 at the NWU Invitational... ended the year with a 13th-place vault at the Tyson Invitational (15-9).

Before Nebraska (Rock Canyon)
Sutterfield won back-to-back Colorado state championships in Class 4A under Coach Chris Page... qualified for the state meet all four years at Rock Canyon High School... competed in Class 3A during his freshman and sophomore seasons... finished runner-up as a sophomore in the pole vault before capturing state titles for the Jaguars in 2007 and 2008 with vaults of 15-0 (4.57) at both meets... named first-team Class 4A All-State by the Denver Post in 2008... recorded a then-personal-best vault of 15-7 1/4 at the 2007 Great Southwest Classic at the University of New Mexico... chose Nebraska over Arkansas.

Parents are Jeff and Kathy Sutterfield... born May 10, 1990... majored in psychology... earned his bachelor's degree from Nebraska in May of 2013.
