Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll (Fall 2012; Spring 2013)

Andy Wendroth competed in four meets during the 2013 outdoor season battling in the 800 meters...opened the outdoor season with a seventh place showing of 1:56.60 at the Nebraska Quad, earning the fifth best time of the season for the 2013 NU men...best finish came at the Pre-Drake meet in a third place finish in 1:59.22 on April 24.

Andy Wendroth joins the Huskers from North Dakota State and previously Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School... will compete as a fifth-year senior for Nebraska in 2012... finished second in the 1,000 meters at the Dakota Duals Invitational during the 2012 indoor season with a time of 2:33.30... ran the 600 meters at the 2011 Jack Johnson Classic, finishing 14th in 1:23.03... ran the 800 meters in two meets... posted a personal-best time of 1:53.87 at the Bill Bergan Invitational... primarily ran in the 800 meters... finished third twice... posted a time of 1:53.94 in a third-place finish at the NDSU-UND Dual.

Andy is the son of Lyle and Cynthia Wendroth... was born on Jan. 25, 1989.... is studying actuarial science at Nebraska.
