2009 (Senior/Junior)

Jen Pancoast started the indoor season by shaving more than four seconds off her previous best in the mile with a 4:50.69 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational... came up one spot shy of All-Big 12 honors at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with a ninth-place time of 9:39.09, bettering her previous best of 9:52.95... ran the 1,500 meters at five meets during the outdoor season, including a season best of 4:30.13 at the John McDonnell Invitational... finished ninth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in the 1,500 meters and 13th in the 5,000 meters.

 

2008 (Junior/Sophomore)

Pancoast earned a victory at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in the 1,000 (2:56.72)... won the 3,000 meters the following week at the adidas Classic in 9:57.85... ran 9:52.95 in the 3,000 meters to finish 15th at the Big 12 Indoor Championships, as well as the 1,200 meters of the DMR that finished fourth (11:43.11)... started the outdoor season with a fifth-place showing in the 800 meters and a fourth-place finish in the 1,500 meters at the Jim Click Shootout... ran a personal best of 4:29.45 in the 1,500 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays to finish fourth... ran the 1,500 meters at her first Big 12 Outdoor Championships, finishing eighth with a time of 4:45.37.

 

2007 (Sophomore)

Pancoast capped an outstanding indoor season at the Big 12 Championships by placing fifth in the 3,000-meter run (9:46.37) and leading off the sixth-place DMR... ran a personal best in the 1,000 meters (2:53.86) at the Prairie Wolf Invite... competed at the Stanford Invitational in her only meet of the outdoor season, set a personal best in the 800 (2:12.83) and also ran the 1,500  (4:29.52) meters... was granted a medical hardship for the outdoor season due to a foot injury.

 

2006 (Freshman)

As a freshman, Pancoast made progress throughout the indoor and outdoor seasons, improving her times on a weekly basis... posted a season-best mile time of 5:05.01 to finish fifth at the Prairie Wolf Invitational... finished fourth with a season-best 10:27.24 in the 3,000 meters at the Nebraska-Colorado State-Kent State Triangular... outdoors, ran 18:54.46 in the 5,000 at the Kansas Relays and 4:44.44 in the 1,500 at the Ward Haylett Invite.

 

Before Nebraska (Cape Girardeau HS)

Pancoast joined the Nebraska track and field team after a stellar prep career at Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Mo., under Coach Mark Hahn... was a three-year qualifier for the Missouri Class 4 state meet, but missed her entire senior track season with a stress fracture... finished runner-up in the 1,600 meters at the state meet as a sophomore in 2003 (5:02.38)... was a member of Central’s 4x800-meter relay team that reached state during her freshman through junior seasons... was a four-time state qualifier in cross country... was a member of the National Honor Society... chose Nebraska over Kansas State and Missouri.

 

Personal

Parents are Charles and Cathy Pancoast... sister, Kim, lettered for the NU track and field team from 2004 to 2007... born Feb. 4, 1987... major is nutritional science and dietetics.
