2006: Aaron Plas added his second indoor All-America honor and third overall with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Championships in the high jump... was selected as a Second-Team Academic All-American for his success on the track and in the classroom... graduated in May 2007 with a degree in business education/cooperative education.
2005: Plas earned his first outdoor high jump championship with a personal-best clearance of 7-3 3/4 at the BIg 12 Conference meet... ranks fifth on NU’s all-time outdoor chart with the performance... finished runner-up at the Big 12 indoor meet with the same mark, which earned him an NCAA automatic qualification... earned a pair of NCAA All-America honors by tying for seventh with leaps of 7-2 1/2 at both NCAA indoor and outdoor meets... tied for second at the NCAA Midwest Regional with a height of 7-1... won the Northern Iowa Invitational indoors (7-3 1/4)... claimed outdoor wins at the John Jacobs Invitational (7-2 1/2) and Doane Relays (7-2 1/4)... earned silver with identical marks of 7-1 3/4 indoors at the Husker Invitational and outdoors at the Nebraska Invitational.
2004: Plas recorded identical high jumps of 6-8 3/4 at both the Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Championships to earn respective conference finishes of eighth and seventh in 2004... no-heighted at the NCAA Midwest Regional... soared to 7-0 1/2 outdoors to tie for first at the Jim Click Shootout... reached the same height to place third at the Texas Relays... won gold at both the Concordia Invitational (tied at 6-11) and the K.T. Woodman Classic (6-9 3/4)... tied for first indoors at the Tiger Classic (6-10 1/4)... recorded a career-best mark of 42-5 1/2 in the indoor triple jump at the season-opening Panther Open.
2003: Plas had an extremely successful freshman indoor season... finished 14th in his first appearance at the NCAA Indoor Championships, clearing a height of 6-11 3/4... was named Big 12 Athlete of the Week (Feb. 24)... tied for fifth at the Big 12 Indoor Championships with a leap of 6-11 3/4... won silver at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational with a mark of 7-0 1/4... recorded an outdoor season-high mark of 6-11 1/2 to tie for fourth at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships... cleared 6-9 3/4 for a 14th-place finish at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships... tied for fifth at the USA Junior Nationals, clearing 6-8 1/4.
High School: Plas came to NU as the all-time Nebraska high school record holder in the high jump with a height of 7-2... the mark made Plas the fifth-highest U.S. prep jumper in 2002... finished second at the 2002 Nebraska Class B State Championships with a jump of 6-8... also qualified for the 2002 state meet in the long jump and triple jump but did not place... was the 2001 Nebraska state high jump champion (6-8) as a junior... was third in the long jump at the state meet in 2001 with a mark of 21-4 1/4... as a sophomore, tied for seventh in the state in the high jump (6-4)... took fourth in the high jump at the 2002 adidas Outdoor National Championships (6-10 3/4) and the USATF Junior Olympics (6-4).
