2004: Paul Wilson posted a personal-best time of 4:16.16 in the indoor mile to earn third place at the Holiday Inn Invitational... also recorded an indoor career-best 8:49.52 to claim silver in the 3,000 at the Panther Open... competed at his first Big 12 Outdoor Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing 17th... won the steeplechase at the Concordia Invitational in a personal-best 9:22.19... claimed gold indoors in the 1,000 meters at the Prairie Wolf Invitational (2:31.46). 2003: Wilson redshirted during the 2003 indoor season... ran a career-best 1,500 meters with a time of 4:03.64 at the KT Woodman Classic... ran a season-best 15:15.6 in the 5,000 and 9:23.93 in the steeplechase at the Nebraska Wesleyan Twilight... finished 11th in the steeplechase (9:42.54) at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships. 2002: During the outdoor season, ran his personal-best time of 14:58.96 in the 5,000 meters at the Kansas State, Wyoming Triangular... ran a season-best mark of 2:30.08 in the 1,000 meters at the Prairie Wolf Invitational... notched a season-best time in the mile run (4:17.80) at the Nebraska Last Chance Meet. 2001: Posted personal-best marks in the 1,000 meters (2:30.00) and 3,000 meters (8:50.59o) during the indoor season... redshirted outdoors. High School: Qualified for the 2000 Nebraska Class C state meet in the 800- and 1,600-meter runs, but did not place... finished third at the 1999 Nebraska Class C state cross country championships.
