2004: Ann Gaffigan went to a new level as a senior, as she captured the Big 12 title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and earned All-America honors in the event... ran 10:17.92 in the steeplechase to win her first Big 12 title... placed fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the steeple to help the women's team place third overall... set the school record in the steeple later in the summer at the USA Championships with a winning time of 9:39.35... was named a Second-Team Academic All-American... led the Huskers to their first Midwest Regional title on the cross country course with a runner-up finish and then placed 71st at the NCAA Championships... graduated in May 2004 with a degree in computer science... went on to sign a professional running contract with New Balance.

2003: Gaffigan had another solid year as a member of the Husker distance crew, picking up points for NU at the Big 12 Championships in the mile run and the distance medley relay indoors and the 3,000-meter steeplechase outdoors... ran season-best 1,000-meter time (2:56.64) to win the Panther Classic... clocked a season-best time of 4:54.50 in the mile run the following week at the adidas Classic, where she finished third... finished seventh at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the mile run (4:59.61)... ran the 1,200-meter leg of the fourth-place distance medley relay at the conference meet... outdoors ran an NCAA regional-qualifying time of 10:47.42 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase... finished sixth in the steeplechase at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in 11:08.91 and the NCAA Midwest Regional (10:47.42), coming up one place shy of making the NCAA meet... clocked a personal-best 4:31.90 in the 1,500 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays... ran on the sixth-place 4xMile relay team that set the school record at the Drake Relays.

2002: During the 2002 indoor season, Gaffigan was limited while fighting a viral infection... ran personal-best 1,000 meters at the Prairie Wolf Invitational with a time of 2:54.88... Gaffigan won the Nebraska Invitational mile with a time of 4:49.26 and took seventh at the Big 12 Championships... in the 3,000 meters, she posted a time of 9:43.78 at the adidas Invitational... struggled in all of her races because of illness and did not finish her attempt to run the 3,000-meter steeplechase in the Big 12 Outdoor meet.

2001: Finished second in the mile at the Big 12 Indoor meet with a personal-best and NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 4:46.44... also ran a personal-best and provisional qualifying mark in the 3,000 meters (9:35.84) at the Tyson Invitational... set a personal-best mark in the 800 meters (2:11.82) at the Nebraska Last Chance meet... posted a season-best and provisional qualifying mark of 10:35.36 in the steeplechase in the Kansas, Kansas State and Wyoming meet... placed third in the steeplechase at the Big 12 Outdoor meet (10:45.09)... also ran a personal-best and provisional qualifying mark in the 5,000 meters (16:47.06)... named Nebraska’s female newcomer of the year... was the only female Husker to compete at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.

High School:
Was the Illinois Class AA 3,200-meter champion in 1998 and 2000... ran a personal-best 3,200-meter time of 10:27.73 en route to her individual title in 2000... placed seventh in the 1,600 meters at the 2000 Illinois Class AA state meet... suffered from mononucleosis as a junior in 1999 and did not compete... was the 1998 Illinois Class AA state cross country champion.

Personal:  Parents are Ed and Chris Gaffigan... is a J.D. Edwards Honors Program Scholar... major is computer science... high school coach was her father, Ed Gaffigan... born Oct. 5, 1981.
